Pressed Italian Picnic Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 8 slices ciabatta bread
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 4 ounces chicken ham
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup pesto
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your panini press or grill.
  2. Spread pesto on one side of each ciabatta slice.
  3. Layer turkey bacon, chicken ham, and provolone cheese on four slices of bread.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, pesto side down.
  5. Brush the outside of the sandwiches with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Press in the panini press or grill until golden and crispy.
  7. Cut in half and serve warm.
