Asian Crockpot Meatballs

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the meatballs in the crockpot.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and water. Pour this sauce over the meatballs in the crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add some red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • These meatballs can be served over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
