  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Press the dough into tart pans and bake for 10-12 minutes, until set. Let cool.
  6. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
  7. Fill the cooled tart shells with the chocolate mixture and refrigerate until set.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, add sea salt on top of the chocolate before refrigerating.
