- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Press the dough into tart pans and bake for 10-12 minutes, until set. Let cool.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Fill the cooled tart shells with the chocolate mixture and refrigerate until set.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For an extra touch, add sea salt on top of the chocolate before refrigerating.
