Tiramisu Cupcakes

These Tiramisu Cupcakes deliver the rich flavors of classic tiramisu in a delightful cupcake form, perfect for dessert lovers.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the creamed mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk mascarpone cheese and heavy cream together until thick.
  7. Add coffee liqueur and stir to combine.
  8. Once cupcakes are cool, soak each with brewed coffee using a brush.
  9. Top each cupcake with the mascarpone mixture and dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the amount of coffee liqueur.
  • These cupcakes are best served chilled.
