Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup espresso, cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the espresso and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until set.
  8. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
