Slow Cooker Beef and Broccoli

A hearty and flavorful dish that combines tender beef and fresh broccoli, all cooked in a rich sauce.

  • 1 pound beef, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add the beef to the slow cooker, then pour the sauce over it.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  4. Add the broccoli in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  5. Serve warm over rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef for a few hours before cooking.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots.
