Shrimp Fra Diavolo with Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and wine, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add lemon juice and parsley, and toss with the cooked spaghetti.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
