Pan-Fried Chicken Dumplings

  • 2 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cabbage, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it into a half-moon shape, sealing the edges tightly.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Arrange dumplings in the skillet and fry until golden brown on the bottom.
  6. Add a small amount of water to the skillet and cover to steam the dumplings for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and cook until the water evaporates and the bottoms are crispy again.
  8. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding some chopped carrots or mushrooms to the filling.
  • You can also use store-bought dipping sauce for convenience.
