This Jalapeno Cheddar Focaccia is a delightful homemade bread that combines the spicy kick of jalapenos with the rich flavor of cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapenos, sliced
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Add warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Once risen, place dough in a greased baking tray and flatten it out.
  7. Press in jalapeno slices and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Drizzle with olive oil and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
