  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup eggnog for filling
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, and eggnog extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon sugar.
  7. Place the balls on baking sheets and make a thumbprint in the center of each ball.
  8. Fill the thumbprints with eggnog.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  10. Let cool before serving.
