Easy Vanilla Cupcakes

These Easy Vanilla Cupcakes are soft, fluffy, and perfect for any celebration or treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full and bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cupcakes to cool before frosting.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add lemon zest or almond extract.
  • For a chocolate version, substitute cocoa powder for some of the flour.
