Crispy Maple Glazed Carrots and Brussel Sprouts

A delicious and healthy side dish featuring crispy carrots and brussel sprouts glazed with maple syrup and complemented by turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound brussel sprouts, halved
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the carrots and brussel sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chopped turkey bacon to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables as desired.
