  • 2 links chicken sausage
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Slice the chicken sausage and add it to the pot, cooking until browned.
  4. Stir in the orzo and chicken broth, bringing to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the orzo is tender.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, spinach, and Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until spinach is wilted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve warm.

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
