  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 pound turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk (for gravy)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  8. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and drain.
  9. In the same skillet, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  10. Slowly add the milk, whisking until thickened, then stir in the cooked bacon.
  11. Serve the gravy over the biscuits.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use buttermilk instead of regular milk.
  • You can substitute sausage for turkey bacon if desired.
