- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 pound turkey bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk (for gravy)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and drain.
- In the same skillet, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly add the milk, whisking until thickened, then stir in the cooked bacon.
- Serve the gravy over the biscuits.
