  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup flour (for gravy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat into a rectangle about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut into rounds and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While the biscuits are baking, cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy.
  9. Add the chicken ham and cook until heated through.
  10. Sprinkle the flour over the meat and stir to combine.
  11. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
  12. Season with black pepper to taste.
  13. Serve the biscuits topped with the gravy.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use buttermilk instead of regular milk.
  • You can substitute bacon with sausage if preferred.
